These aren’t scary, but they are. They do some work. However, they are prone to clogging. Hence, I wash it off almost every day. I still buy them, but they usually require cheap quick filters with multiple filters to switch between...but you can remove all three very quickly. After using it for a long time, it became very fragile, and small things that could not be removed completely clogged it, causing zero water pressure. Last year I had to go out and clean the last filter...everyday. It’s been a long time since I got a new one. I have a small pool so I haven’t done much with these filters.

The price is on the high side for the quantity I received, the filter is higher quality than most brands, but a bit too expensive for my pump and doesn’t fit. The filter must be crushed to close properly, and doing so reduces the filter’s functionality and integrity. I wish the manufacturers were at least more consistent in choosing a filter size so I would have a chance to see how well a properly sized filter would fit my pump.

How to adapt the filter to type A

The filters I received are listed as Type A and Type C. I believe these are closer to Type C than Type A because the original filter (Type A) that came with the pump fits perfectly. It is tight enough to prevent water from leaking from the bottom or top. Even if the water in your pool looks clear and clean, it should only pass through the filter area.

I need two filters for summer

Purchased for an Intex pool installed last year. Installation is as easy as following the pool manufacturer’s instructions. One thing I will say is that these cleanings only seem to last a few weeks before needing to be cleaned again or the cartridges replaced - a season in September is enough. I bought a 3-pack to save a little money and have 2 more cartridges for next year. One tip I suggest is choosing the right filter for your pool, as there are many different types.
