I am a side sleeper and and to say I’m finicky about pillows is probably an understatement, getting a new pillow every 3months-ish because they start to get flat, or too flat for me. So far I have purchased 2 of these about a year apart. You can wash the cover but not the pillow, so please don’t try to. Pillow still pretty firm after a year but becomes discolored because you know, sweat, skin cells etc. Anyway I can’t imagine ever buying any other pillow after this. It does feel almost too high/thick at first until you get used to it but it is memory foam so you head will sink in a little. Other pillows hurt my ear but not this one. Some people won’t like it for one reason or another. I do get hot flashes/night sweats but I just flip the pillow over and go right back to sleep. Feels a little pricey but not anymore than buying a new pillow every few months. Give it a try!
