I use this on medium grade carpet. I have to say this is solid. It’s so thick that they have to ship it flat. I went through a couple of cheaper ones only to throw them away 6-8 months later. I use it daily with a normal weight office chair and I weigh 190lbs so it regularly has 230-240lbs on it daily. So far much better then anything else that I have used.Just spend the extra.. it’s cheaper then the multiple cheaper versions you will go through before this one.I hope this helps someone make an informed decision.

Heavy duty - You’ll love it!

We tried another brand that arrived rolled up in a box, and it never truly flattened out completely. There would always be areas that would eventually curl up just enough to get my Mom’s wheelchair stuck on it or our feet trip on it. It was so light weight and cheap feeling, which I suppose it had to be in order for them to be able to curl it up to ship it. This chair mat works perfectly and Mom’s wheelchair glides smoothly over it every time. Thanks to it arriving flat in a box (no curling), it lays flat on the floor with no curling to trip over. What to know.

Be careful of any doors that might have to close on top of the mat due to the thickness of the mat. It will take getting used to as sliding/rolling with the chair on the mat is so much easier than on a carpet. As for maneuverability, the mat is large and carrying it down two flights of stairs took some effort. In spite of all this, the product is excellent, and I recommend it. The company indicates that there are various sizes, but none are listed or can be found when ordering.
