The problem with silicone is that it’s soft, so these utensils have to be 2-4x thicker than nylon / plastic / metal utensils to actually work. The thickness is ok for pasta strainers and soft spatulas, but not good for cooking spatulas and spoons. Cleaning also feel icky; the texture never resolves as smooth and clean-feeling.

So, when I received this set, I absolutely loved it! It is extremely heat resistant, sturdy and the beige color does not stain at all. I’ve both hand washed the items as well as put them in the dishwasher. I have to advise though - the items with the stainless handles RETAIN WATER! I noticed it at first with the whisk and partially understood because of the holes where the silicon part meets the stainless handle. When I used the spatulas and spoons I started to notice sprays of water when I went cook with them - then I heard the noise…. I shook the utensils and could hear the water ‘sloshing’. Lots of different utensils are included. The silicone ends are flexible becoming rigid about 1/2 inch or so from the tips. In other words, they’re not floppy and perfectly sturdy to pick up food. Cleaning is very easy; essentially, nothing sticks to the silicone. Upon receipt, push all of the handles (also silicone) all the way down over the stainless steel section. Several of mine had gaps at the end of the handle because the grips weren’t fully in place. This is a one time thing that only takes a minute.

I haven’t used them with too much water yet so don’t know if they will crack or how much heat they can withstand but they seem to work just fine to me.
