The knives rusted after second wash in the dishwasher. As they are stainless steel they should not have rusted, especially not after the second wash.

In terms of sturdiness/weight in hand, they are ok. Don’t feel as heavy/sturdy in my hand as I’d like (personal preference). Would probably bend if you scooped ice cream with them, but for most normal uses, they seem fine.

First off, this is a beautiful set. Great design and high mirror shine. My only concern is that as soon as I opened the boxes and removed the flatware I could tell that they seemed a bit small. Upon handling them, I could tell that they are MUCH lighter than my old set, to the point where they feel like cheap flatware I can pick up at the drug store for a barbecue. Great - Except the Butter Knife

I like these except the butter knives are poorly designed. They are BOTH sharp edged AND pointed with a thin blade. They are much closer to steak knives, which I already had, and are unsuited to spreading butter or anything else like jam and peanut butter. I also cut myself pretty deeply - with a "butter" knife. My workaround was to keep the butter knives from my old set. These are the least used implement so it is not a huge deal. But you should know before buying.

The spoons are great for tea or soups. I’ve used the knives to cut through steak and it gave me no problems.
