I found that about 1/4 volume gave the best quality without being too quiet at the other end. The lens cover is perfectly suitable, and attached with double-back tape. Unfortunately, there was nothing in the instructions that mentioned the "blue" transparent thing with the cover was not simply shipping material that needed to be removed. Luckily, enough was intact that I was able to get the thing stuck on and it does work, but a little line of instruction would be helpful, just as an "alert, this is part of the item," advisory.

Software install a little glitchy.

The the drivers needed to install the camera are imbedded in the device. It took two attempts on an older laptop running Windows 10 pro to get it recognized. Success on second attempt and it works great.

Why did I wait 2 years?

We still have remote meetings and have no external mic or camera at work. I have a laptop which inexplicably has a camera at the bottom of the screen. This simple external USB webcam works great. The picture is good. The clip to the screen seems like it shouldn’t work, but it does and there is a handy little tripod attachment as well.
